A Day of Keeping South Florida Cool – Adventures of an HVAC Tech
13/01/2025Morning Hustle – 6:30 AM
The day starts early in South Florida, and as an HVAC technician at Engineered Air, LLC, I’m already checking my service schedule while sipping my morning coffee. The forecast shows it’s going to be another scorcher – typical for Boca Raton this time of year, with temperatures climbing into the 90s.
First Call – 8:00 AM
My first stop is in Coral Springs for a routine maintenance check. These preventive services are crucial, especially during our intense summer months. I inspect the:
• Air filter condition
• Refrigerant levels
• Electrical connections
• Thermostat functionality
• Condensate drain lines
Midday Emergency – 1:30 PM
After completing several scheduled maintenance visits in Deerfield Beach, I receive an urgent call from Coconut Creek. A commercial client’s AC system has stopped working completely. In Florida’s climate, this quickly becomes a priority situation.
Afternoon Installation – 3:00 PM
The final task of the day takes me to Lighthouse Point for a new system installation. Working with our installation team, we carefully remove the old unit and install a new, energy-efficient system that will keep our client comfortable while reducing their energy costs.
End of Day – 6:00 PM
Before heading home, I complete my service reports and prepare for tomorrow’s schedule. Working in HVAC service across South Florida communities means every day brings new challenges and opportunities to help people stay comfortable in our tropical climate.
The satisfaction of solving problems and ensuring comfort for our clients makes every busy day worthwhile. Whether it’s a routine maintenance check in Ft. Pierce or an emergency repair in Boca Raton, being part of the Engineered Air team means delivering quality service that keeps South Florida cool.
